Cactus backpacks are the result of thousands of hours spent testing in the world’s toughest locations. Our customers have adventured with our products from the Antarctic, through the world’s harshest deserts and up to the Arctic – and most points in between. Using the collective knowledge of these users has enabled us to build products whose apparent simplicity belies the hours of thought and engineering that has gone into them – they adhere to a ‘less is more’ philosophy.

Our 'Ethic Construction' principles are something we've been working on ever since we started making outdoor clothing and packs. It is our pattern language for making things strong, simple and appropriate to
the task.
Our aim is to design and build durable, useful products. We do this by utilising quality fabrics and components, and design sensibilities gained in over a decade of experience of their properties.
The new location of our factory is at 90 Fitzgerald Ave in Christchurch City, where we have a factory showroom and store. Here you can get your hands on the wide range of Cactus outdoor clothing, check out the factory, try gear on, place specific orders, and get repairs done on your beloved Cactus products.
Our factory showroom and store is open during normal business hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
